Deborah Randall advises homecare, medical device and hospice; assisted living, nursing home and other health system companies. She is a member and co-founder of the Health Practice group at Arent Fox [Washington DC; New York; Los Angeles]. Previously, she was General Counsel to the National Association for Home Care and Hospice; and attorney advisor to the Federal Trade Commission (advertising of devices and drugs), and the US Department of Health and Human Services (nursing homes; HMOs; human research regulations.) Ms. Randall has lectured extensively on health regulatory and policy issues for health industry companies, health professionals and health associations. She has designed and teaches intensive compliance training courses. She is Chair of the Telehospice members’ interest group of the American Telemedicine Association Ms. Randall’s publications on health care include twelve book chapters and over 30 articles on health issues. Recently, she designed and presented national compliance training for hospices on the 2008 revised Conditions of Participation. Her comprehensive article on this subject appears in Compliance Today, November 2008. Ms. Randall’s law degree is from Columbia University and she holds a B.A. cum laude from Harvard University. |
