Celeste McCraw Director of Professional  and Community Relations Lighthouse Hospice Coastal Bend (Corpus Christi, TX)

Celeste McCraw is the Director of Professional and Community Relations for Lighthouse Hospice Coastal Bend in beautiful Corpus Christi, Texas.  She has been pivotal in the design, start-up, and growth of the Coastal Bend site while also providing training for Lighthouse Hospice marketing teams statewide.  Prior to joining Lighthouse Hospice, Celeste served VistaCare Corpus Christi as Director of Professional Relations before being promoted to Director of Business Development.  During her four year tenure with VistaCare, their census grew from less than 150 to over 300 patients Average Daily Census.  

Along with her hospice experience, Celeste has over 20 years marketing and operations experience in the private sector as a business owner.  Pursuing a career in hospice has allowed her to find the fulfillment and value in her work that she had always sought.  She is also a licensed chaplain, something many people find unusual in the marketing arena.  Celeste responds, “Without fail, every day my pastoral skills are utilized in the marketing arena:  active listening, respect, unconditional regard, and confidentiality.  This is how we develop relationships-even in the business world.”  

Celeste and her husband, David, have five children and are official “empty-nesters.”  They are both musicians, Celeste sings and David sings and plays guitar.  Growing up on the coast, they both have a love of the water and spend much of their spare time kayaking or sailing
