Holly I. Dabelko-Schoeny
Dr. Holly Dabelko-Schoeny received her Masters in Social Work from the
University of Maryland and her PhD in social work from The Ohio State
University. She is an Assistant Professor with The Ohio State
University. Her practice and research interests focus on
in-home and community-based services for older adults. She
was named a 2004 Hartford Geriatric Social Work Faculty Scholar in
recognition of her past and potential contributions to geriatric social
work. As part of her Hartford grant, she is investigating the
psycho-social outcomes of participants in adult day services.
Her recent publications include “Outcomes of adult
day health services for participants: A conceptual
model:” in the February 2008 edition of the Journal of Applied
Gerontology with Zimmerman; “An
examination of the adult day services industry using the resource
dependence model” in press with the Journal of Aging and
Social Policy with Koenig and Danso; and
“Diabetes and adult day health services” in the
November 2007 edition of Health
