Peter Notarstefano
Peter Notarstefano started work as the Director of Home and
Community Based Services at the American Association of Homes and
Services for the Aging on January 3, 2007. Mr. Notarstefano has over 27
years of clinical and management experience in the field of Aging
Services. His last job position was at Catskill Regional Medical Center
in Sullivan County, New York. At CRMC, he was the Director of the
Geriatric Assessment and Case Management Program for 15 years. There
are only 25 outpatient Geriatric Assessment programs nationwide. His
experience also includes nine years experience as Director of an Adult
Day Health Care program and a Social Model Adult Day Program that was
part of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Partners in Caregiving
Dementia Care Program . He was also the Director of Harris Home Health
Agency, which was a licensed homecare agency in rural Sullivan County,
New York. He has his Masters of Science Degree in Gerontology from the
College of New Rochelle and his undergraduate degree in Political
Science from the City University of New York. His volunteer work
included being a founding board member of the Sullivan/ Delaware
Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, Board member for the
Sullivan County ARC, and he is currently serving on the Board of the
