Ms. Griggley-Owens is a manager in Deloitte & Touche’s Regulatory & Capital Markets Consulting practice.  She  has over 10 years of experience and expertise related to health care reimbursement , revenue cycle, & compliance issues.

Ms. Griggley-Owens has participated on compliance, due diligence and internal audit assessments for a variety of health care organizations. She has performed coding & billing audits for a variety of health care entities, which includes acute care hospitals, physician group practices, Durable Medical Equipment (DME) suppliers, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities, and Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs).  Ms. Griggley-Owens’ coding compliance review expertise includes MS-DRGs, APCs, Charge Description Master (CDM) and professional coding , including physician Evaluation & Management  (E&M) coding.

She also has extensive  revenue cycle experience which includes conducting charge master  and charge capture reviews.  Additionally, she has provided training to physicians and hospital staff on documentation and reimbursement issues.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Ms. Griggley-Owens was a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers where some of her accomplishments included development and implementation of quality control measures for Health Information Management departments, developing & presenting educational seminars for physicians and staff regarding issues related to compliance and reimbursement, and assisting with implementation of proprietary software to various health care organizations.
