Pam Waymack, FHFMA is Managing Director of Phoenix Services Managed
Care Consulting, Ltd. Pam brings 25 years of experience in managing and
turning around the financial and operational performance of health care
organizations across the country. Prior to consulting she held senior
management positions at Children’s Memorial, Northwestern
Memorial, The University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins. Pam’s
book Denial Management: Key Tools & Strategies For Prevention
And Recovery helps providers prevent and successfully overturn denials
throughout the organization. Pam’s consulting work focuses on
improving performance within health care organizations and she has
assisted over 100 clients across the country over the past dozen years.
Last year she launched the e-zine, e-Thinking— Quick Ideas
for Busy Healthcare Executives, providing monthly thought provoking
insights for health care leaders.
Pam’s professional memberships include the Health Care Information and Management Systems Society and Health Care Financial Management Association. She participates in the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange as well at the Council on Affordable Healthcare’s Online Eligibility and Benefit Verification Initiative, CORE. Pam is certified as a Managed Care Professional through HFMA. She holds an MBA in Health Care Administration and Finance from the University of Chicago and a BA in Economics from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. |
