Paul J. Kowatch is president and CEO of Kowatch and Affiliates Workforce Resources which provides Employees Assistance Programs, counseling, consulting and training to employers and employees in Western Pennsylvania. Paul has been providing EAP and related services for over 30 years to both the public and private sector as an employee and consultant with a various local, national and international companies.

Paul possesses graduate degrees in both social work and human resources. He is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. Paul is also a past chair of the Employee Assistance Certification Commission.

In addition to his duties as president of and CEO of Kowatch and Affiliates Workforce Resources, Paul is an adjunct faculty member of the Social of Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh and an adjunct faculty member at Laroche College in Pittsburgh. Paul teaches graduate and post-graduate courses in social work and human resources respectively.

Paul and his wife, Anne of 26 years live in Pittsburgh with their children Alexandra, 17 yrs. old who is a high school senior and Benjamin, 21 yrs. old who is a college senior.

Paul’s hobbies include swimming, hiking and gardening. Paul interest in swimming started as a pre-adolescent, disappeared in his adult years and resurfaced in the past 5 years as a Masters swimmer where he swims with the Team Pitt Masters at the University of Pittsburgh. He qualified for three events in the 2005 national senior games where he placed 6th in the 50 meter backstroke. As Paul likes to say, “ I was a late bloomer.”
