Susen Speth-Briganti, Grants Manager, joined the Saint Mary's Foundation team in 1997. Susen’s primary focus in the Foundation is the research and development of grant, funding and partnership opportunities with community and state programs. She writes and also oversees grant development and works with the Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Mission / Outreach projects to identify possible options for donor investment. Additionally, Susen manages three grant-funded Ambulatory Care programs, including the statewide Personal Assistance Services program for those with disabilities, a tobacco program (social marketing and clinician education) and the Statewide Immunization Coalition. She has more than 30 years of grant writing, fund raising, program development and management experience and has brought more than $56 million to the community. Previous development work was done with The National Judicial College, Community Services Agency, and Catholic Community Services. She has provided consultant services for the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office, the University of Nevada, the Truckee Meadows Community College, Washoe County School District, Nevada’s Office of Public Safety and numerous other local and state agencies. Susen earned her B.S. degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.
