Jodi is a Director with Brand Strategy and Marketing Services.  Since joining BCBSA over ten years ago, Jodi has been responsible for managing and staffing in-depth strategy, research and consulting engagements across a range of strategic issues critical to the Blues, including market segment strategy and performance, competitor analysis, business policy analysis, and consumer engagement.  

Her current responsibility is management of the primary market research conducted by BCBSA, which includes extensive quantitative and qualitative research conducted with members, employers, providers and their office staffs.  She also leads the staff supporting health services research based on Plan claims data and experience, which lends support to the drive for evidence-based medicine and increased healthcare quality.

Jodi has been integrally involved in the market research fielded by BCBSA and the strategic interpretation of the results for a number of years.  She led the initial design and analysis of the annual national account positioning research that guides the Blues’ national account strategy.  She also has had an influential role in leading research with consumers around provider selection transparency tools, which led to the implementation of transparency standards in 2007.

Jodi received an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago, concentrating in accounting, marketing management, and strategic management.  She is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
