Dr. Susan Apold, President of the American College of Nurse Practitioners has been an advanced practice nurse for more than 20 years. In addition to her private practice as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, she is currently Vice-President for Academic Affairs/Dean of Faculty at the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Bronx, NY. From 2000 through 2004, she served as the Director of the College’s Department of Nursing and also served as Chair of the Graduate Program in Nursing. Dr. Apold has a long history of service to professional associations, including a term as President of the Board of Directors for The Nurse Practitioner Association New York State. Dr. Apold previously served as President of ACNP in 2003, and chaired ACNP’s National Clinical Conference in 2004 and 2005.
