Judy Garrett is the Health Services Manager for Syngenta Crop Protection, Inc. She is certified in occupational nursing and case management as well as emergency nursing. She is also has a bachelor’s degree in management, and was recently awarded the “2005 Nurse of the Year Award for Excellence and Leadership” by the North Carolina Association of Occupational Health Nurses. Under Judy's leadership, Syngenta was awarded the 2006 Platinum Well Workplace Award from WELCOA.

Judy’s background in emergency medicine has led her to be a champion for wellness and preventative medicine. Judy states, “My ER experience has given me a passion for wellness. For years, we would treat the cutely ill, such as cardiac arrest, heart attacks, stroke and diabetic crisis, and I realized that something needed to be done on the front side rather than always addressing the health issues in crisis. Having worked in occupational health and the local ER, I often found myself caring for the employees that were not compliant and didn’t heed the advice given such as diet, exercise and medications. I have tried to carry this message out to our employees at Syngenta. Our Health Services team strives to help guide and foster the desire for healthier lifestyles among our employees, so they live healthier, happier and more productive lives.”
