How does your directory differ from the competitors?

Our directories are verified by an in-house, trained professional staff. At national industry conferences on managed care, we have been told over and over again that other products available do not compare to this directory. At trade shows like the NMHCC, users tell us our book is more current than any other directory. In fact, we have had several book buyers call and send us letters telling us that through the use of this directory they have made numerous sales because of the accuracy of the data. Another thing about our directory is that we show you the entire picture of the integrated healthcare delivery systems within the profile. You will be able at a glance to tell what the health system provides. Also, a nice feature of our directory is that there is a comments field where we list important tracking information such as company name changes, acquisitions, mergers, etc. So you can see the history of the changes that took place since our last edition.

Who uses the directory?

Integrated healthcare delivery systems, managed care organizations,
pharmaceutical companies, and physician organizations, medical and research libraries, consultants, executive search firms, information technology companies, researchers, associations and individuals or organizations interested in monitoring the healthcare delivery systems industry.

When was the data collected?

Extensive data for the database on CD-ROM and print in PDF format on CD-ROM was collected and verified during the 2nd quarter of 2004. Changes are being made daily as we collect the information. We are consistently contacting companies, resurveying the integrated healthcare delivery systems and monitoring all forms of news media to uncover changes and additions to our database of integrated healthcare delivery systems.

What is the difference between the fourth and third edition?

There have been many changes in data from the prior edition. Changes include mergers and acquisitions, promotions, appointments, resignations, area code or zipcode changes, services area changes, or address changes. Additions to the affiliations, they include address, phone number and fax number and coming soon, director or administrator of the affiliation.

Is this directory available electronically?

Yes, the directory is available in a database on CD-ROM format that imports into software programs you already know how to use. You can import it into Access, Excel, Act, Goldmine, etc. You don’t have to worry about learning a new program. You can search on any field and print reports from your search results easily. There are more than 177 fields of data. When you license the CD-ROM you receive a package with field structures for each database that list the fields and what data each field contains. You receive your data on a CD-ROM with instructions to easily import into your software. You will be up and running in a few minutes. A great benefit of the CD-ROM version is that when your order is processed, you receive the most current data in our database. The CD-ROM is “burned” the day we ship it to you.

The CD-ROM version is composed of the following database:

• IDS04 -- contains contact information on more than 780
integrated healthcare delivery systems with company name, address, mailing address, phone, fax, type of integration, executive names and titles, statistics (enrollment, number of physicians, number of hospitals, etc), service area and more.
• IDSAffil -- Contains more than 12,000 system affiliations with address, phone, fax, type of affiliation (H-Hospital, PC-Primary Care, etc) and coming soon, name and title of administration.

What is the “Electronic Advantage”?

The “Electronic Advantage: is that you can do whatever analysis you choose. You can pull up or use any criterion that meets your specific information needs. You have easy, mouse click access to company, state, or region specific market information.

What is the difference between the Database on CD-ROM and the PDF format?

The Database on CD-ROM and the Print in PDF format on CD-ROM contain the same data. The database can be searched and sorted on any of the data elements. The PDF is just like a print book that can be searched on and printed out, but it cannot be imported into another program. More organizations are opting for the database on CD-ROM to get the information this way to insure its accuracy. This also makes it easy to create mailing lists, telesales cards, or sales territory assignments.

The chief advantage of the Database on CD-ROM is that you can manipulate the data, divide it up by region, and identify your greatest prospects. You can also spot the largest companies with the greatest number of affiliations, or spot the top 25-50 top prospects, cluster sell, or, carve it up by city or service area. We also try to advise clients and potential clients of the benefits and cost savings efficiencies of the CD-ROM version.

How complete is the directory?

Although we try to be as accurate as possible, no publisher of this kind of information has 100% of the fields full. We have been told by buyers that we have the most complete and comprehensive data available. To insure that your IHDS data file is as complete as possible, we devote thousands of hours each year to the most thorough research gathering including telephone interviews with the IHDS executives. The rate of change among contact names within integrated organizations is more than double the normal attrition, our research staff has found. Any data you’re using that’s over a year old is woefully out-of-date.

The integrated healthcare industry is very fluid and transient. Most direct marketing experts agree that at any given time any list can have an up to 20 percent “nixie” rate. (Undeliverable as addressed, addressee no longer there, bad address or zip code.) We take collecting the data very seriously. We are constantly adding new fields of information to our databases each year.

Even now, in between editions, there are IHDS being sold, merged, or going out of business. We get names of new executive appointments and promotions weekly. Names of IHDS change, they exit the market, telephone company area codes continue to change, and IHDSs expand or shrink service areas.

We advise executives who wish to use our database for ongoing sales efforts, mailings or telemarketing, that a more cost effective investment would be our National Directory of Integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems, Database on CD-ROM. It costs more, but it is kept up to date on a regular basis here and is a current as can be when it is delivered to you. The database on CD-ROM contains the same size and deep profile information that is found in our print in PDF format.

How soon can the Database on CD-ROM be put together and shipped?

We ship your database by overnight carrier. You’ll always get the freshest data, name and company changes, with the CD-ROM choice. The database on CD-ROM is “burned” with the most current data the day we ship your order.

If more than one person will be using the database, that user must have a license to comply with our license and copyright laws. View License

Can I get a discount if I order multiple copies, for example 6?

Yes, there would be a discount for the purchase of multiple copies. Besides a discount off the regular price, there would be a savings on shipping if the directories were being shipped to one location.

Which version of the directory would be best for direct sales?

For direct sales purposes we recommend the Database on CD-ROM. You can import the database into your sales lead management program like ACT! or Goldmine, or import it into Access or Fox Pro or other desktop database applications.
